We lived the usual, predictable urban life till March 2015. Corporate job. Long commute. Pressure. The question popped up – what is it all for?
When that question raises its head and you give an honest answer, chances are you will leave the city for a different life. So we left the city for a village.
We now live in the Kumaon Himalayas. Our kids go to the local school. We have work we pursue remotely, or invent new occupations to suit our new reality. Having published a book*(see link below), writing came naturally, so this – the Uncity Blog -is one such occupation. And with writing at the centre of things, helping others getting their book published by way of the Himalayan Writing Retreat ( www.himalayanwritingretreat.com ) was a natural extension.
